The name Cincoro, translating to “five gold” in Spanish (“cinco” meaning five, “oro” meaning gold), pays homage to the five founders – friendly basketball rivals turned close partners – and their pursuit to create the new gold standard in tequila. The five founders are Michael Jordan, Jeanie Buss, Wes Edens, Wyc Grousbeck, and Emilia Fazzalari, the co-founder and CEO. Cincoro Tequilas have won over 12 gold medals at prestigious spirits competitions including a “Double Gold” for Cincoro Blanco and Reposado at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Cincoro Tequilas are made with 100% Blue Weber agave from both the highland and lowland regions of Jalisco, Mexico. They cook, ferment, and distill highland and lowland tequila separately in small batches before artfully blending them together to create Cincoro’s signature taste profile. Cincoro Tequilas are smooth on the palate with great flavor complexity and a long, delicious finish.
